My friend is  a social worker, and frequently mentions that it is so sad when trying to place homeless kids, who would have great homes if it were easier for a man to be able to adopt them.  My brother was single dad for many years, and a really good one.   The mom was a drunk and walked out on them.  Good parenting has nothing to do with gender, just personal integrity.

Yup. Anyone can be a good parent. More importantly, one parent should never, ever use their kids as a tool to alienate the other parent.
