The big question is what comes next? what will be deemed too risky and not suitable next?? You-Tube? Facebook? what gets the ban block next??.
Apparently they've already thought that through.

Right well what I've been saying is now completely and utterly proven thank you very much  >:(
And most of you were laughing at me  ::) well gee whizz, I'm actually depressed that I'm right.

The beginning of the end for the UK as predicted, there you go, what countries will follow suit?

I wonder if this forum will be blocked for any reason? -_-

Perry is the one who is behind most of this it seems, a crusader against porn for the children  ::)
Do what you wanna do to protect the kids, just leave MY internet connection alone thank you very much, I don't have kids, I don't want to be filtered.

Yes I know...and then everybody who opts out will most probably be on some kind of list, your name will be known and kept, you are using possible illegal sites, you will be monitored, this has already been discovered. The UK is being censored slowly.

Ridiculous.

Prism and the dod has been sitting off fibre exchanges for ages, if you were going to be on a list you're probably already on one.

I can't say I oppose an opt in process, to be fair children do need some level of protection.

Well lets just hope this opting system remains in place.

Also faster than seeding.

I own a cheap DVD I got from the UK on my last visit, I've been meaning to get my hands on a better restored copy. I wonder what the Internet archive has...

I'll post a picture for you when I get home of the version I have though I couldn't tell you how common it is, these days. I still think it was sheer luck that I stumbled across it.

Absolutely.  You can apply all the filters on your electronics at home, but all they have to do is go to a friend's house without them and all that effort to protect your kid is gone.  Parents can use an extra layer of support for sure.
