Good for them.

What better way to commemorate belief in non-belief. Some folks in some European country, maybe the UK want to build an atheist monument honoring our main star or Planet. I think it's planned for London perhaps.

YES. TEXAS NEEDS ONE.

This isn't funny. It's just dumb. How the heck does this speak to atheism if they're having a monument in their name erected? If they claimed it was satire, I'd understand but I didn't see that mentioned.

"We atheists choose to believe in nothing.  But if we did, it would be this nice bench!  Which requires no belief from anyone.  It simply is.  HAIL BENCH!!"

*Disheartened and confused fundie protestors wander off muttering about 'I thought they said that Dawkins fella would be here...'*

I think it's funny they're pretending that they aren't spying either. Everybody's doing it to everybody. Silly EU :P

In other Religious related events, Channel 4 in Britain has come under fire for announcing that it will broadcast the call to prayer everyday over the festival of Ramadan

Here's my two cents

Technically, it'd be a 'body transplant', but... Excellent news for people who suffer from paralysis. Especially when we can perfect cloning techniques.
