The Rock (1996)

Still one of the best 90s action movies, even if the car chase in the middle is kind of superfluous. I miss this version of Michael Bay.

Also the soundtrack is the most overwrought thing ever, it's glorious

Yes, it goes from some really great Zimmer action music to... I don't even know what, vaguely romantic beats?

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

I recently watched the 2022 Netflix film with my brother so I had to watch the original 1974 film with him which he has never seen.

Dawn of the Dead (2004) Remake

I don't mind this remake however, I'm not fond of 'running' zombies.  Still a good film though.

The Batman

Saw it last night. 10/10.
Loved it and for me personally rivals TDK.
It's the darkest Batman yet - it's ultra gritty, brutal and slow burn at times.

This for me personally IS the Batman I've loved reading and collecting for over 30 years.

WOW. I WANT MORE OF THIS.

Scream 2022 (2.75/5)

Man I really wanted to like this more as I absolutely adore the first two. But I don't think the story they went with, warranted a return.

Matrix Reloaded (VHS at home in my room)
Uncharted (went to the movies, thought it was alright, a bit silly but cool action and parkour)
Wizard of Oz (50th Anniversary Edition VHS at home in my room)

Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead

This was a decent enough crime movie, and Andy Garcia is the man as usual, but it's nothing you haven't seen done better a hundred other times. Also, how do you name your movie that and relegate the Warren Zevon song to the very end of the closing credits? Bad form, man.

Pacific Rim....God I love this movie and it still holds up today and looks amazing. Wish we could had received a proper sequel.
