For those with XP64, place this file in the main avp2 folder. You will still need to connect using GS, HLSW, or XF.

Aliens vs. Predator 2 Sierra Master Game Server is down now officially. This patch will make AvP2 use a new master server called LithFaq. With the patch, you can bypass the annoying Sierra shutdown and play AvP2 as before. Few bugs exist still with the new master server, but they are being nailed down one by one.

It will find servers which are hosted via the new patch. It won't find old AvP2 servers.

Soon after rest of the bugs of this patch and perhaps after new things are added, I think 1.0.9.7 patch will be released. Unofficial one. In the meanwhile, use the patch Xhan has sent if you want to find multiplayer internet games.

hmm. I guess, if I was still playing, I'd try to join the servers I frequent by their IP while just keeping 1096 patch on. And then, if I find that those servers are no longer hosted by the 1096 patch, then I'd switch to the 1097 one to see if they are on there.

32 bit XP uses the top link.

64 bit XP uses both.

I've heard that the new server system works for Vista also, at least one member has informed that.

Advice to everyone: First download the top patch... Try if it works... If it does, good, but if it doesn't, download the lower patch aswell and try again.

Any problems should be reported to www.lithfaq.com forums, so they can improve the system and create some solutions.
