Wonder Woman

I was really quite enjoying this, but then rather predictably it descended into another overblown CGI shitfest.

Nocturnal Animals

Knew nothing about this movie going into it which might be why I really enjoyed it! Just about everything with Michael Shannon in it rocks. That ending though...ugh

Romancing the Stone
Hadnt seen this in years. Its a fun film and more low key than the sequel

Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom
It's Indy, so had to lol
But weren't they both on at the same time? :o I picked Indy on Channel 4HD

The Joys of +1 and recording lol

The Jewel of the Nile
Doesnt have as much heart as the first one but its still a fun film

I always find that one surprisingly dull and insipid after the first.

Although the scene where Michael Douglas is banging on about his boat being the only good thing in his life only for it to then explode in the distance in the background is amazing

Yeah it was made because they were contractually obligated to.

Yeah that seen is brilliant. And i laugh at the Train scene with DeVito just banging on the window shouting Douglas's characters name as the soldiers seach for them

The Midnight Sky
I dug this one. Clooney is great with his emotionally restrained performance.

The Rainmaker
Love a good legal film but this one has some great quirkiness about it - great performances all round from Damon, Devito, Glover, Voight, Rourke and Danes.

The Red Turtle
Watched this beautiful animation with you my young daughters. We all loved it.

Murders in the Rue Morgue (1971)
A bit meh to be honest, even with Herbert Lom and Jason Robards in the cast

Zodiac

Brilliant all round. I know Fincher has made some outstanding films in his time and whilst my personal fav is obviously Alien 3, I would put Zodiac as technically his masterpiece.

Every performance is superb. It's brilliantly written and directed. Just perfect.

It also has one of the most brutal murder scenes put to film ... that scene at the lake.
