Do you know if that was really Harry Dean hanging in that pic?
Stuntmen Roy Scammell (Brett) and Eddie Powell (the Alien) performed this wire stunt.

Harry Dean Stanton was also fitted into a wire harness for the (deleted) shot of the Alien's tail lifting him off the ship's deck.

Wired for one but not the other? Interesting. Must be a duration and/or height thing.

Aside from the obvious safety concerns, the sequence may have required the use of a skilled actor to emote (and to provide his likeness) - a sequence, perhaps, likely to have been filmed in close-up, where it would be impossible to employ a stuntman.

Well fortunately Harry did say he's not afraid of heights, he's just afraid of falling.  ;)

Shouldn't the cat be wearing a spacesuit too?

I do love the Covenant design but I don't believe the rendering is a great depiction, the teeth placement is incorrect.

I hope they never attempt the crabwalk, but seeing a modern version of that starting in that pose could be an interesting shot. I definitely think they should slow the Alien down more often and build tension and horror. Grasshopper/Velociraptor monsters are cool no doubt, but a tad overdone since AVP.

Entirely agreed.

I could imagine Stompy pulling off some immensely mesmerizing and graceful movement out of that.
