Well those who said the Queen from Aliens and the Queen from AVP are different age  wise are wrong since when Specimen 6 molted into a Queen she had the little horns on the crest.

I still think it has to do with age however, but it deals with a different strain(The Aliens from the Alien saga and ones from AVP, AVP2010 are different sub species). Specimen 6 Queen ridges are not as pronounced as the AVP Queen. The AVP Queen has more pronounced ridges than 6 due to age. Then the Matriarch's crest has giant spikes coming out of it since she is like 100,000 years old.

Makes me wonder what an older Queen of the stock we see in the Aliens saga would look like?

How big exactly is Queen 6? 20 or so feet already I guess. THe AVP Queen is like 25. Not sure though.
