I mean I get trailers should be as spoilerless as reasonably possible, but that should not mean removing scenes from a movie or adding things in a trailer that was never going to be in the movie.
Its a form of deception.
In that covenant trailer, we had that Alien jumping from wall to wall, which was not in the movie at all.

Agreed. It was a guy in a segmented rubber suit, but it wasn't supposed to appear like that. Otherwise, a beautiful likeness - and collectable.
