Alien 4K in IMAX last night to a packed house. Glorious!!! Sadly no Romulus preview prior (despite being advertised).

I've seen this film countless times in the past 40 years and I'm still discovering new things.

  • Only noticed Ripley is wearing a little strap across her chest in the intro hypersleep chamber scene
  • How did I miss this one - Ash looking at what appears to be an embryo inside Kane on screen in the infirmary prior to Ripley confronting him on opening the inner airlock door
  • Just how even more beautiful it looks on a huge arse IMAX screen than on the best 4K TV

Me only just now realizing that the recast Donna was Nala in The Lion King.  :o

With the director's commentary. No Arnold this time, sadly.

Wish - with the family.

This was a nice callback to `classic' Disney. Yes, it was a bit derivative but those homages in the end credits got me all nostalgic.

So f**king good. Not the ending I was expecting, though.

Raise the Titanic

So someone got the idea to adapt an action/thriller book, and leave out all the action and thrills. A stunning display of incompetence.

On the big screen this time. Had no idea Cineworld were gonna be showing this so had to watch it. Screening was about half full

Watched it too last night! Still as gloriously 80s as ever.

Cineworld was doing action movie month, so they also had Predator, Demolition Man, Con Air, Speed, and Fury Road this month.
