Why is the can important?

All I mean is that since the can never become a plot device for a sequel to JP; that maybe all the talk about using dinos as soldiers in JW may also just go away and we'd get a more clever story for JW2. I'm not saying a movie featuring dinosaurs as living weapons is necessarily a bad thing but well... I'd like something new to be the major plot of the next movie.

The symbolic gesture was more than good enough. The only way it could be superior is if those are the bones from the JP3 spinosaurus. In any case I'd prefer a sequel try something different from the now four movies and add a few new dinos. Of course it seems to be headed into the weaponized beast phase... though at the same time nothing became of that lost can full of dino-dna.

I'm very concerned that the sequel will suck a lot. If they really go with this "militarized dinosaurs" gimmick, it's going to be very stupid.

It's not like JW was brimming with smartness, nor that it gave two nineteenths of a shit about portraying convincing dinosaurs. If the director's as good with action as Colin Trevorrow, I'd be surprised if I enjoy the sequel any less.

There has to be a limit. Jurassic always has some roots in science. This isn't Dino Riders.

I agree, unfortunately.
Spoiler
My hopes are that Dr. Wu does the opposite of what Hammond and Mas. envisioned and makes the new dinosaurs the way they would have been millions of years ago.
Spoiler
Feathered.

^That. There's much more to making the dinosaurs scientifically-accurate beyond adding feathers.

Jurassic World already covered militarised dinosaurs and people trying to use them for combat.

It just did it in a very Jurassic Park way.

Yea thought as much, bought out by walmart in the cut scene. That wasn't like, that was residual memories from the cloning process. You just have warm feelings towards the alien parts.:P

Still here's to the day Jurassic Park meets Alien.

This is like if JP and Alien had a baby...
