I do hope they make the Tyrannosaurus Rex a key character again. I do find spinosaurus to be fascinating, but the Rex is at the apex of my love for paleontology.

Perhaps we will one day get to see an anatomically correct Velociraptor as well, as the raptorial claw is always depicted in such a way as to resemble deinonychus, a different bipedal species. Dr. Grant even states the claw is on the middle toe, yet it still reflects otherwise. As it is, understanding of the animals, theoretically, has changed radically since 1993, so more than just a toe would benefit from a redesign to stay current.

Out of those you posted I only have the big red Rex, and the Trike.

Yeah man if you get a camera you should totally make a channel for videos like that.

Have you seen this channel? https://www.youtube.com/user/JurassicCollectables

We're getting him on the podcast soon for a chat because his channel is amazing.

Yup, I've seen those! If you really want to get someone noteworthy when it comes to collectibles on your show, contact these guys.

Derek and Ken Zrncic. They were featured on the Toy Hunter and I regularly do business with them. Heck, we consider each other friends at this point. Believe me when I say that they are unrivaled when it comes to JP collecting.

Erm, I've never noticed an issue with the JP foot design, and there's not much difference between a Velociraptor foot and a Deinonychus foot - as far as I know it's mainly just size, and minor differences in claw shape (which varies between individuals). In both animals (and all dromies and troodontids), the first toe is small and more or less vestigial, raised well beyond ground level. The second toe is the 'killing claw', and the third and fourth toes are the ones they walked on.

Jurassic Park's 'Velociraptors' are supposed to be Deinonychus anyway, which is a long story - though even then, they're far too big, and most closely match Achillobator in size (the second-largest known member of that family).

I just call them Novaraptor, a la Primal Carnage. Seems easiest.

I've heard of this on cracked.com once. Interesting metaphor, indeed.

You know what? It's funny you mention that because I was thinking of doing just that, not quite like yours but rather, individual videos highlighting certain toys and such. The only problem is that I don't have a professional-grade camera. My webcam obviously isn't portable and while there is the camera on my phone, I feel like people wouldn't want to watch a video that's shaped like a small, vertical rectangle :P

Besides, what are you jealous for? I'm sure you have most of the same stuff, haha.
I should break out all my JP stuff and snap some pics. I've got near-complete collections of JP and TLW toys, and a bunch of JP3 stuff (and other odds and ends).

What sort of condition are they in?

Almost reminds me of the emergency bunker or the raptor pen in the first.  It can't possibly be a new JW building.

That looks too big to be the emergency bunker. It also didn't have stairs on the side of it.

QuoteTrevorrow, though, was happy to confirm that he'll be using animatronic dinosaurs and elaborated on the movie's broader set-up.

Yes. I am happy about this. Sequels sound nice, but let's wait to see how this one turns out first.

Plot Twist: Chris Pratt's character was a master builder all along, and the sequels will cross over with the Lego Movie.

I just watched Colin's first feature length film called Safety Not Guaranteed, it was actually pretty good. I'm curious to see how he transitions from a small movie like that to a much bigger scale film like Jurassic World.

but jake johnson and chris pratt are in this so there is so much win already
