Quote from: SiL on Apr 15, 2024, 12:36:58 AMThis is supposed to be more about the legacy of the film than just behind the scenes.

Which further confuses who the target is. There's limited interest from casual fans or general fans of cinema. Die-hard fans already know it.

Their marketing has never really made it clear what the actual selling proposition is here.

Is it just supposed to be a 38th anniversary retrospective kind of deal? Who the f**k knows.
It's for SuperfansTM, people who want to put money down so their name can be associated with Something SpecialTM.

There was a 4 hour "Superior Firepower" piece on the blurays. What more is there to know about Aliens?

Don't threaten me with a good time

LiquidMonster

Excellent news.

Still puzzled by the lack of Sigourney Weaver's involvement. Especially knowing that James Cameron is participating.

Corporal Hicks

It's likely she either doesn't want to, can't be scheduled, costs too much or the production hasn't been able to make contact.

KiramidHead

They managed to get James Cameron off his submarine, that's impressive.

Cosmic Incubation

It seems like they're going to discuss the films legacy through comics, video games, toys, etc. Which seems like some newish ground and something I'm kind of excited to see studied.
