That model looks a lot like the aliens from one of the Dark Horse series, but I can't remember which one it reminds me of...

Got my Flying Gung Bros. Alien kit back from Reverend today.

What a great kit!  Love the pose.
I've been dying to get this one painted forever.

Huge thanks to Rev for the killer paint up and the custom base.

I quite like it, if it was a black and not a brown I think it would look better but I still like it. Although it isn't screen accurate, it is creepy and menacing in its own way.

Because it's meant to be an interpretation.

Not everything out there is screen accurate.

Check it out sometime...there's a WHOLE WIDE WORLD of collectibles...and most of them aren't accurate.

I'm well aware, but that one looks especially off. Seriously, when did Kane's Son's head become a cone?

It became a cone in this sculpt, that's when.

An "interpretation" is just that.  So, it can look like whatever the sculptor wants it to look like.
Seriously, I can't explain it to you any clearer than that.

It makes no sense for you to compare this to "Kane's Son", when you already know it wasn't meant to look like it.  

So, enjoy it as a different take on the Alien...or not.  Makes no difference to me.
