From what I recall, that was a continuation.

Unless you go back in time and set it in the eighties or something, there's no real way you can do anything to specify the second film doesn't count. Even if you did that, most people would just regard it as a prequel, if anything.

Aside from the parts where the creature features in it, there's not really much I like about the second one, but there's no point in erasing it out of existence.

Superman returns was a sequel to Superman 2, Superman 3 and 4 didnt count, his earth mother was dead in 4 but was in Returns, dont matter now as iv seen the news .

Niether Predator or Predator 2 need a remake. Predator 2 was a damn good sequal, so why should it be remade when its good, and you can just take the option of making another sequal. That seems like a way better idea to me.
