Personally,  I would have preferred just one Alien. The one who was born from Oram. Something like that the perfect organism is about to kill the survivors (in fact it reaches to kill Lope) but then, the Neomorph comes to interrupt. The fight begins and the crew takes advantage in order to escape.

The Alien wins and manages to board the flying crane. Then surprise everyone as the Queen aboard the Sulaco.

However, I would have liked another way to kill the Alien. What we have in the actual movie is a ripoff without tension of the third act of Alien.

Two well handled Aliens in the Covenant could have served to develop interesting scenarios and good tension though.

I would have rather had just seen Oram's Alien survive the encounter with the construction material and somehow slip on board the Covenant, rather than have a second one come out of Lope.

I would take all of that plus a fight against a Neo .

All this, but a better executed fight with the Neo than in ADF's novel.

There's this old truck that drives around these parts. It bears a resemblance to the creeper mobile.

It was driving towards me and I looked into the cab to see who was driving, as I often do with this particular vehicle. Sure enough, just as usual, there was no sign of any driver whatsoever. Nothin. Zip.

That's all I'm sayin.
