73-year-old horror filmmaker Tom Holland, best known for directing and writing the 1985 vampire cult classic "Fright Night," the original 1988 'Chucky' movie "Child's Play," and the 1996 film adaptation of Stephen King's "Thinner," is back with "Rock Paper Dead," a new supernatural horror about a supposedly cured serial killer who, after being released from a state mental hospital, returns to his childhood home, where he finds himself tormented by the ghostly visions of his past victims.
Holland directs from a script written by "Friday the 13th" screenwriter Victor Miller and producer Kerry Fleming.
The film stars Canadian TV actor Luke Macfarlane (Syfy's Killjoys and PBS' Mercy Street) as the allegedly reformed murderer Peter "The Doll Maker" Harris. Meanwhile, Michael Madsen, Tatum O'Neal, and Jennifer Titus are among the cast.
"Rock Paper Dead" is currently in post-production, but viewers can watch a newly-released teaser trailer, above.
