Still trudging through Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix. Damn its a hard game but so was the first. To get the best and presumably canon ending to the first game you had to play through on hard and I just couldnt do it and I had to use an invincible cheat. I hope its not the same with this game because there is no such cheat and I'm playing through on normal.

Been playing Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. I love this RTS.

i love RTS too, CnC and Red Alert were what got me into (proper) gaming in the first place, that looks pretty awesome, though i haven't played an RTS in a long time, since Red Alert 3, and before that a long time too, i wonder if it would run on my laptop.

Cthulhu Saves the World

It's an Xbox Live Indie game that plays like a traditional RPG, so it comes with all those annoying trappings like turn-based combat (fuuu-), but being able to play as Cthulhu makes it all worthwhile. And there's some funny writing and awesome retro music too.

Oh, and the artwork:

I swear if I were to ever do acid, it'd probably be something like this game. It's batshit insane.

It's not the fact you enjoy them, tbf I don't care you like what you like ect. ect. :P

What I meant is the reason behind them is flawed, there execution is flawed ,not talking about if you liked it, I mean like the fact they have so short development cycles and treat it like an advert rather than what it could be.

The publishers treat them like marketing devices, which they shouldn't, gaming is a more popular or equal medium to film not in terms of the money it generates but the quantity of sales. They should be using that to there advantage, instead of releasing bug ridden games that took a couple of months to make that only just got a profit.

They should do it more like the well the batman arkham asylum game, while yes that wasn't a movie game and I only use this as an example because it got so many things right, considering the universe and the other superhero games and can easily be connected to a movie universe. Games that are similar to batman AA usually get very short development time and money to make it.

Arkham Asylum isn't a tie-in though. When a movie is released and if a game based on it is announced within a month of the film coming out, it's always a rush job because they need to coincide with the released of the film.

The only movie tie-in game I've played in the last 10 years that was any good is Toy Story 3.

I never played Avatar, simply because I heard how bad it was, for example.

However, for all you trophy hounds, Terminator: Salvation will give you a Platinum for about 2 hours of your life
