From my point of view, it was pretty funny. Can't really say I'm a Deadpool fan or really care what direction the comic is taking though. So from a fan's point of view, then it might be horrible.

Hellblazer - Scab : Cool story, with something flat out gross for good measure.
Light Of Thy Countenance : Adaptation of something written by Alan Moore.  Didn't really care for it.
Currently reading From Hell : Taking a long while to get going, but all the pieces are starting ot fit and make sense and it's getting rather good.

Just read Fury (MAX) 1-6 by Garth Ennis. Pretty good and extremely violent. Reminded me a lot of the Punisher MAX series. They kept things pretty real as well, just like they did with Punisher.

I'll post what I said to Shobidoo over IM, bearing in mind these are just my opinions.

Deadpool used to be a character treated with respect, he had dramatic, emotional elements as well as the hilarious and action-packed ones. He had depth as a character and was cared about by his writers.
Over the years he's gradually lost his depth as a character and became more about jokes rather than dramatic and emotional elements within his stories.
Presently he's a f**king clown with no depth, and gag after gag after gag with absolutely no dramatic or emotional storylines, just gags. And more gags.
Deadpool works because he's a traumatic character who needs the emotional and dramatic elements, take that away and just leave the action and the humour and he's ridiculous. A mockery to the former writers and fans.
