I actually like the fact it feels like a modern day version of a garage made film (so far). It makes me nostalgic for old 80's sci-fi B-Movies that share a similar feel. The trailer may shatter that though with cgi beasties and what not.

I figured that much out myself. I'm just still baffled by the fact they made him a Christ figure (and a f**king alien) in Chronicles. Still a decent movie, though.
