Quote from: Nightmare Asylum on Mar 29, 2024, 02:44:41 PMIf you don't want humanized monsters, then stay far, far, FAR away from Godzilla x Kong.

But also, the whole deal with the Planet of the Apes movies (be it the old series or the current ongoing one) is that the apes are essentially human in all but name. They aren't "monsters" and were never intended to be.

I can't, I have to watch it at one point

I was never aware of that in POTA to be honest but it makes perfect sense.

A lot better. The limited human cast was a great choice. It let the titans shine!

I give it a 8/10. Human story is very dumb, like they pull stuff out of their asses, but they mainly focus on the action in the action is really good like I would say it's a little better than GVK

Just saw it the other day. It's silly as I expected. Human characters were rather thin, again as I expected. Story-wise it was a bit on the simple side. But as soon as Godzilla and Kong emerges on the screen, you forget all those flaws in the film.

Not as good as GvsK, but still enjoyable to watch as a G fan. Parts of the film made me giddy.

That's good, because Wingard has said he wants to make a more Godzilla centric film next if this does well.

I hope they will do a scary Kong again some day like the ... 1976 one... I grew up with that film, his roar in it is terrifying!
