to your autoexec.

Make sure you have vsync enabled and ANY Anti-Aliasing turned off, make sure you're not running Crossfire or SLI.

Ok it now works, but the camera is twitching like crazy-I can't even turn the character without the camera twitching.

Hey, I solved your issue! The game doesn't seem to like widescreen resolutions. Try a 4:3 ratio resolution in windowed mode and it will solve all of your woes. Also, I run my game in Windows 98 compatibility, not sure if that matters.
You can still play in widescreen by setting "SCREENWIDTH" to whatever value you want.
