Wasn't the predator bug also used as the first badguy in Predators?  Just another alien captured by the goofball preds to hunt but a wink if you know reference to the OG OG Pred.

That was a reference to a different alien, the Guyver Alien. But more specific the corrosive Guyver model of it.

That's the River Ghost, but yeah, it wasn't a reference to the OG Predator suit. That's a little misconception.
