What is internal integrity?
It stands up to scrutiny and it makes sense. The narrative makes sense. I'm not saying it was perfect - as I've said before, it was rough. And the film did David far better - but it wasn't a mess. Which is my problem with Prometheus. It was a complete narrative mess.
And I agree. I just enjoy playing the Devil's Advocate. I just think, Lindelof-era Prometheus did have much more
implied, than Spaihts. On their own they both add and subtract their faults. Lindelof's faults tended to be obvious with character goofiness that should have been caught in editing. Spaihts had goofiness from the problems with sudden and falling action and scenes that were absolutely bonkers, a lot of it felt unbelievable, with in my opinion, too much fan service. The general fault is that everything feels unbelievable, which is not the direction anyone should have gone if you're trying to sell the Space Jockeys were actually men. That said, it still has subtlties I think complimented it better with Lindelof than with Spaihts, which ultimately saved it for me, so long as the theatrical cut isn't what I'm watching. Key word for Prometheus would be disorganized, the entire production really.
