Quote from: Xenomorphine on Feb 09, 2020, 08:49:24 PMOne assumes the group Dutch's team took down were just ferrying some important equipment and the advisors to whatever the main invasion force consisted of. Wouldn't have been a serious invasion with that small outpost of personnel.
Quote from: Xenomorphine on Feb 09, 2020, 08:49:24 PMI've never understood what the status of Dutch's team was meant to be, on the other hand. They act like mercenaries, with Dutch speaking about having a choice of what they take on, yet are used by the US government, provided with legitimate transport and apparently have official ranks.

They can make a pretty awesome prequel to The Thing an still call it the Thing. But we still havent seen the prequel to Predator which this OP makes me ask the question. Im sure someone can come up with a pretty good story from the Russian soldier's perspective...possibly have someone else play the roles of a Anna Gonsalves and Dillion or just have them de-aged.
The two would have to be part of the story since they are pretty central in the original.
and holyshit, if somehow if Laurence Fishburnes in it or a special secret appearance by anyone from the Predators movie. That would be dope!
A prequel would be great for the franchise (imo) - start with a story that the creators wanted to focus upon (I have read that they wanted the setting to be 1700s time frame). Focusing on the hunt and the tension/horror/fear aspects of humans being hunted by an alien would be a breath of fresh air compared to the last movie, which I thought was a complete miss.

Jim Hopper never died. He is alive and well working for the Hawkins Police Department.
I guess you didn't see Season 3....
