Very nice pics of all Preds here...

LOL, thanks bro. Looking back at that article some parts are cringe-worthy. I'll rewrite some of it soon and insert more pictures. :)

Where did you find those pics? I've never seen most of those pics before.

They come from a variety of places. Some were found on image galleries from around the web -- photobucket, french cinema sites, you name it -- reached via Google. Some for Predators were screencapped from KNB Efx's site. Other ones were also screencapped from DvD extras (the ones for AvPR).

The article itself is very well written. How long did it take you to write?

Total time writing was about a day or two I think, excluding later additions. Back when I wasn't the master of procrastination. :P

I really like the first one Hubbs!

As for how we went from the realistic designs of P1/P2 to the obviously rubber look of AVP, I'd say it was Paul Anderson's aesthetic preferences for part of it. He wanted them to look more human. Also it might be that the ADI team just wasn't as experienced as the Winston team. Maybe they used a different kind of rubber? It also has just one main flesh tone, whereas the Winston designs used many, as well as some kind of clear liquid. Not trying to bash ADI, but their design just looks too clean, and that means you can see the flaws, whereas the old designs were grittier.

Also the teeth/gums look really really fake. It looks like a high quality Halloween mask instead of a real monster's face.

Anyway...
