Thanx for the welcome Hicks. I've been reading/catching up on posts new & old and love the ideas and insight put out here.
I'm literally crawling the walls waiting to see a trailer/sneak peek, anything to do with A:C

To answer your question: I, unfortunately, did not get to see A L I E N in the cinema when it was released, but saw it on Beta video tape in 1980 when I was 11. Changed my life.
I did see ALIENS on the big screen when it was released, though.
