On a par.  Mind you Shapiro generally restricts his bigotry to Muslims, homosexuals and "the left", rather than over the half the world's population.

I haven't watched it at all.

For years and years I've read and seen enough about shitstains like Elam, Esmay, Straughn and Cernovich that I have no desire to watch some "documentarian" doing a puff piece flat out lying to the audience.

MRAs aren't for mens rights; they're simply anti women.

If you haven't watched it, how do you know it's all lies?

I don't know who the people you listed are.

I got no idea if the documentarian's real or fake.

They showed female MRAs, does that mean they are anti-women as well?

Anyway, all I was trying to say was that if you did watch it, you can clearly see there are two types of feminists.
That's it.

I do know who many of them are - that's how I know it's lies.

If you didn't know beforehand who they were - fair enough - but this isn't going to give you an accurate picture.

QuoteThey showed female MRAs, does that mean they are anti-women as well?

Yep.  Tieman and Straughn are from the anti feminist Honey Badgers.

QuoteAnyway, all I was trying to say was that if you did watch it, you can clearly see there are two types of feminists.

There's way more than two.  Like many -isms, it's a spectrum.

If you're searching for an accurate portrayal of feminism from this film - keep searching.

I know it borders on the "no true Scotsman" fallacy, but if you're anti-men you're not feminist; you're misandrist. Feminism as an idealogical position is about equality, not shifting power structures in favour of women over men.

To double down on Internet Argument Rhetoric Bingo, the Nazis calling themselves the socialist party didn't actually make them socialists. People who call themselves feminists, then try to oppress or strip rights from men, are not feminists.

You do realise most muslims are against homosexuals, women's rights and non-believers? Over half the world's population.

Quote from: SM on May 09, 2019, 01:47:33 AMI do know who many of them are - that's how I know it's lies.

So the women in this man's rights documentary are lying? And all the footage is fake or cut somehow?

I'm not saying anti feminist. I'm saying anti-women, like you said earlier.
So are those women anti-women?

I'm not looking. Just talking about stuff I saw in a "documentary".

This is kind of confusing. Are you saying muslims are over half the world's population or that they're against half the world's population? And in either case, what's the point?

QuoteSo are those women anti-women?
Yeah probably. That's not a mind-blowing concept. Self-loathing is apparent across every demographic.

They're against. Point being is that they're listed with homosexuals and the left, while the ideology is pretty right wing.
I'm not familiar with this Shapiro guy but I don't see why it's that bad if someone's show bigotry against bigotry.

Ok, I agree with self-loathing being apparent across every demographic.
Thing is, a lot of time when someones speaks out against their "own kind", it's labeled as self-loathing.
There's a documentary about an ex-muslim woman. She really knows what she's talking about. And people on the other side say "What does she know? She's just a disgruntled former member."
So when it's an ex-member who knows what he or she is talking about, or a self-loathing one?

I think it's important to make a distinction between Muslim people and the doctrines of Islam.

The point is you missed the point and resorted to irrelevant whataboutery.

He's not bigoted against bigotry, though. He doesn't hate Islam for the parts where it shares the same beliefs he holds.

...being a woman isn't a belief system. How is this a relevant comparison?
