The Mummy
The Stephen Sommers one. This has the perfect balance of Horror and Comedy. A lot of fun.

The Serpent and The Rainbow
I've been looking for this film for ages and it was finally on Horror on Saturday. A fantastic but little known Wes Craven film, that really builds and builds

All the Money in the World
Bar a couple of digital tweeks, you wouldn't have known that Plummer wasn't in it from day one. A great film and worthy of the award noms its been getting. Ridley only seems to do great films when its based on something he hasn't thought up himself lately

The Core
About as scientifically accurate as Armageddon lol. Still a fun watch though

Well that was a lot bloodier then I remembered.

I thought the theatrical version of that was entirely forgettable, but I actually quite like the DC. As you say, it really ups the gore (and boobs) over the cinema release. Certainly gives the whole thing a more adult feel, whereas the theatrical cut felt very kiddie-friendly.

I just wish all of Sommers' films could be as good as that (and Deep Rising).

Opera (1987)

"So he wanted to murder you?" Wow, stunning police work there, officer. Next you'll be telling me water is wet.

My only gripe is that it still pusses out and lets Paris live at the end. Kind of defeats the purpose of showing him hand the sword off to Aeneas.

Vegas Vacation (1997)

Mr. Pappagiorgio has the greatest luck ever. Also Clark and the blackjack dealer scenes are classic Clark moments.

7/10

Aftermath with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Great performance from Arnie, but it ended a bit abruptly I thought.

I think I'd rate both these over The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.  Despite Eli Wallach not being in them.

Jigsaw (2017)
Don't know why but I expected better.
Pretty average overal.

Happy Death Day (2017)
Liked this one even less. One of those bad Groundhog Day rip-offs.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
A great sequel. Downey jr. and Law are on form here. shame we didn't get much of Rachael McAdams. Jared Harris pulls of scary really well
