Well this all sounds incredibly dire. It really does feel like Zaslav is fattening up WB with all this talent they're acquiring (while simultaneously scrapping completed films for tax benefits) to prep studio for yet another another sale or merger...

This actually doesn't strike me as a huge red flag, to be honest. Sony invented the Blu-ray format and has always had the biggest stake in it, so it isn't too shocking to see that they're going to be handling more on the production end, as studios are backing off from handling it themselves.

The real good discs are all coming from the boutique labels, anyways. The big studios have basically been releasing barebones discs for years, unfortunately.
