England's out of the World Cup. Why isn't this thread just full of people breaking down into tears and wondering what's the point of living in this barren post-apocalyptic emotional desert?

(Well, from the English people.)

Seriously though I never cared.
And a lot of people didn't delude themselves into thinking England had a chance.

The problem is they should have a chance.

Oh noes man. They took a picture during a low tide? Who'd have guess they'd see more rocks. Well maybe not so much a low tide as a low water level. It does appear to be a puddle.

That or a floating iceberg of methane. That would be my guess. Still hoping for flying whales filled with hydrogen though.

I thought that - but Saturn is currently moving away from the sun, meaning the methane isn't likely to have evaporated to reveal more land.  Not that I know shit about the properties of methane.

It's a lake, and from looking at the rest of the shoreline it doesn't look like the water level (so to speak) has dropped enough to reveal a twelve mile island.

Depends how far it was 'underwater' before.  There seems be more land in general in the lower photo.
