It  was a pretty good episode.  Got the explanation of "Rains/Reynes of Castamere", Sansa and Tyrion's wedding, which was a little different but they followed it pretty well, I thought Loras trying to talk to Cersei was great . 


Enjoyed seeing Daario's introduction and can't wait to see how all that will play out in the show.

I managed to fill my Thrones time slot this upcoming Monday with a visit to the local art theatre where they're showing Joss Whedon's Serenity. So that's keeping me cooled off

What I got out of it was ... he's still Sam, the scared, bumbling, screw up. He managed a great feat of heroism but his follow through was severely lacking. Baby steps I suppose!

I love how the characters (all of them) change ... evil f**king bastards become genuinely likable and pure hearted, noble spirits let themselves down the road of self serving ignorance and misplaced loyalties. None of these changes happens over night. I hope we get to see Samwell grow into a brave and component badass in the next few seasons.

In regards to the Kingslayer...

I think what he says is true, about the mad king that is. But I don't get why he is so attached to Brienne, maybe because she wasn't so evil as to cut off his hand when escorting him? But part of me thinks he is keeping her for some other reason, as a trump card maybe, because we are talking about the man that pushed a small boy out of a rather large tower.
