Started season 3 of True Detective, having received the Blu-ray for Christmas.

Only a couple of episodes in but already thoroughly engaged. Definitely more gripping than the previous season was at this point.

TD Season 3 had me until the last episode. I'll be interested how you ultimately feel about it.

I've noticed the Blu-ray has an extended cut of the final episode, and now I'm trying to decide which version to watch without looking up spoilers online.

I haven't seen S3 yet, but I remember S2's finale being absurdly long.

Seems to add 8 minutes. I'm not certain how much an improvement it makes though. I'd just go for it if I were you.  :)

The last one that I watched is The Queen's Gambit. The shows these days are very visually appealing and the gripping story makes the viewer want to see the next episode right away. I stopped watching the other series after finishing this one because I lacked sleep. My only other problem is something with the Netflix historical series. These depict a lot of the past events inaccurately.

Frankenstein: The True Story

This wasn't bad and pretty interesting, but did drag a bit. Tom Baker is in it for about five minutes and gets to be a total badass.

That first season was amazing! But be warned, do not watch the second season unless you enjoy your time being wasted and unfulfilled.
