I dont think they wanna use the infestation design. In "Prometheus", the real jockey's body doesnt have the trunk, so...

And i'm thinking that "Prometheus" is the real reason behind this delay. If they used the Space Jockey race at some point of the game, now with the reveal of his real body (tall-blue-bio-mechanic-man), they'll have to change a lot of things there
