Going by the Jurassic Park game that Telltale released a year or so ago, we know the fate of the Barbasol can.

I personally don't consider the game canon.
Well it totally is and there's nothing you can do about it. :P

According to who, exactly?

Canon is opinion, like it says in your sig. So yes I can.

The game isn't in my personal canon, and there's nothing you can do about that. :-*
You... you guys realize I was being a tad less than serious, right? :P

No I didn't. Because in the past, you've demonstrated your unconditional loyalty to the idea that everything in the A/P universe is canon so it's not hard to imagine you feel the same about JP. Granted you're not quite predxeno, but you're almost there.

My views on canon for AvP only apply to AvP. There's a shitton of JP stuff I don't take as "canon". Any of the Topps comic books that feature returning main characters from the movies, for instance.

Having said that, I'm very willing to accept the Telltale game as canon.

Just listened to the new pod cast.  Never knew they shot the scene with Spino snatching Nash from the plane in reverse!  Mr. Young seemed like a real fine fellow!

Accepting it as canon makes very little sense because it's never referenced anywhere else. It has zero impact on the actual JP universe.

It's never referenced anywhere else since nothing else has come out TO reference it. It's like saying 'Aliens' isn't canon because 'Alien' didn't reference it.

As for having "zero impact", I don't even know what that means. It's a fun story that happens during/after 'Jurassic Park' that doesn't really contradict anything (other than Harding having no beard) so I don't see a problem with taking it as "canon".

Yeah I was surprised to learn that too.

They pulled it off nicely I think.

The posture, gait and muscle use look pretty accurate, but it's unknown whether dinosaurs would have bobbed their heads while walking. Not all birds do it, and it's unknown why some do and others don't - it can differ in animals with the same ecological specialty, physiology or even evolutionary group. It seems the reason for it is to provide depth information (as most birds have limited overlap in their eyes' field of view), so dinosaurs with decent binocular vision (such as Tyrannosaurus) very likely wouldn't have done it.

Also, the first toe in dinosaurs is typically vestigial. The chicken's is reversed and extended into a hallux for walking stability, which may be affecting the gait.

If anyone believes JP, they did. The Procompsognathus that kills the little girl near the beginning did just that.
