Got around to the Primal Carnage Beta last night; flawed but so much fun!

Dumping the part of the game that everybody complained about in the original sounds like a good idea to me.

Having to use the flashlight without weapons made exploring scary as heck. There's even a whole part of a level where the power goes out that wont be anywhere near as scary, if at all, because you got your flashlight always on. Maybe if you could have it with your pistol, I could understand, but always on? Come on.

Oh yeah the part where you have to escort the scientist. I remember that part and I hate it  Pitchblack darkness - gg. And I may say that the DooM 3's darkness is one of the "stickiest" and dark in the gaming. I can't think of other game where I felt more covered in darkness like in DooM 3. Maybe the first AvP but just maybe. DooM 3 so far have the best darkness in the games imo.
