In addition to Laura Paulson's performance, I liked the concept of the in-universe "paranormal docu": interviews with people in parallel to the dramatic recreation. It's not a very overexploited concept apparently😅 The rest was meh 👎

I will say I'm a bit disappointed that they left out the book's allusion to Poe's Masque of the Red Death in the carnival sequence. It would have been very cool, visually.

The book is very much worth reading, some things it does better than the show, like the Tuunbaq, which is scarier and more interesting.
