Which is the Ideal Praetorian design

Over the years there has been multiple iterations of the praetorian the most recent iteration of the praetorian came out a couple of months ago. A lot of them Bring something new to the table Some better then others and some are not. And that leaves the question what is the ideal design for the Praetorian.

Praetorians are redundant.

AVP 1999's more resembles a Crusher than Praetorian with the charge attack, I like AvP Extinction's take, AVP 2010's inoffensive and bland. I do not like Dark Descent's design honestly for either Praetorian or Crusher as I felt they already pretty much nailed it in Aliens Fireteam Elite.

In Fireteam Elite the way the morphology connects had real thought put behind it.

They have been pretty consistent which is great.
I have scary (but good) memories from fighting them in the long corridor of the USS Tyrargo and a few stalking near that lift in the end.

For me its actually their look in Earth War and Genocide comics. I think that look cant be topped

I think the 1999 AVP version brought back the most good memories in survivor fleeing to the outpost haha but fighting the first in AVP2 as the predator was another cool moment amongst the rocks.

It has to be 2010 for me. I don't really like when they put the Praetorian on all 4s so I'm not too keen on AvP Classic or Fireteam's approach there. AvP2's was always a little too awkward moving for me. But 2010's take on the design was one I loved since the first time I touched the game. I just love the imposing height, I love the linage to the Queen and I remember it moving a lot smoother.

I like most of the designs. 2010 is probably my favorite, but AFE and Dark Descent are close. 2010's only problem for me is that the legs somehow lost the digitigrade stance from the other Aliens and went backwards to a plantigrade stature when for a transitional specimen that goes forward to become a digitigrade Queen, just seems like an oversight.

The only reason that AFE's isn't perfect for me is cause of the glowy acid parts, along with the bone white crest which makes no sense for multiple reasons, not to mention bone white doesn't fit ambush predators like the Aliens. But as far as shape of the whole silhouette? AFE does the best job with the Praetorian IMO.

The Crusher from the game looks nice, but is too small, the crest is too short and again with the color problem. The Crusher from Aliens Dark Descent is the best Crusher as far as I'm concerned, the crest is beautiful and she's quite the big girl. That's all just my personal opinion.

I agree with the acid complaint about the Praetorian, it is unnecessary for that design, unlike for the Burster. 

But I like the ossified white on both the Praetorian and Crusher, I think it makes a lot of sense, and makes them unique.

The Crusher I prefer being undersized to oversized and it having back pipes I intensely dislike, being that they would be in the way, hence largely preferring the Fireteam Elite designs over the Dark Descent designs.

Personal favorites of mine is Dark Decent depiction but AvP 2010 is a close second for me. The only nitpick for DD is that that the crest doesn't go in the 3 pointer like the AvP 2010 or the classic but it ain't too bad.

Honestly I think there's a path that both crusher designs can exist, the one smaller one come from more dog like animal whiles the bigger one come from cow and other cattle

What is the current role of a praetorian anyway?  Is it confirmed to be an adolescent queen or is it just a bigger, meaner, wankier soldier?

Both, in my head canon they are guard for the Queen but when the Queen it will get replace by praetorian who will grow into a Queen

Probably something closest to FTE out of the options available, but I don't think any of them stick the landing 100%.

Praetorian as in the dudes that protect the Queen? The design of the dudes in Aliens protecting the Queen is just fine.
