That makes me wonder, could a mask that is acid resistant with a neck gorget to imped the tentacle tail be made? If so Weyland really should design one.

That was something in Aliens: Berserker/Frenzy. There was someone whose job it was to get captured and taken back to the hive, and they had a face-mask to stop the facehuggers. The novelization was far far far better than the comic, but I always loved that idea.
