Cyrax has a mine, laser swords, and a type of net that is made of some sort of nanobots, just like Termites that eat you alive.

Yeah, I noticed the similarity way back.
Cyrax had a fatality where he not only activated his wrist-gauntlet to self-destruct but also laughed.
