Elder Predator has a sword!

If you watch the end of Predator 2 you can see that the Elder Predator is holding something that looks like a sword, does anyone notice this

Just looking at the picture, does anyone know the reason why the Eldar gives Harrigan the gun?

It's his prize for being the Predator of Predator 2. Seeing as how the Pred in the film spent the last portion of the movie running from him.

Yeah, makes sense giving a reward to your prey for killing one of your own. Looks like Predators are more honourable than brutal...

Could it be a trophy from another battle? Or perhaps a unique Pred sword?

I'd imagine the predator would be incredible with a sword.
