The Avengers: Endgame (2019)
What made Inifinity War so entertaining was the fact that all superheroes from all franchises got together to beat one big baddie... and failed. Now they go back in time to undo everything that Thanos did, making all the deaths seem pointless. Someone dies? Ok, let's go back in time and save them! It's a very cheap plot mechanic. It's still an enjoyable watch, but now it's more of the same that we've seen countless times before. The end battle is a direct copy of the first one and we all know how it's going to end this time. 6/10

The Post (2017)
Good acting by Streep and Hanks, but the story is plodding along without any sense of urgency. It's still an interesting story about the politics of the Vietnam War and the resistance of a then small newspaper getting silenced by the big bad government. Nixon and Trump sure have similarites, the way they view the free press. 7/10

The Ninth Gate (1999)
I love this movie. It has an interesting, occult subject and the legend that the books are supposedly co-written by the devil himself makes up for a great mystery. Depp and Langella do a great job and the soundtrack is fantastic. The abrupt ending stops this from getting top marks, but everything before that is superb. 9/10

What an uplifting and inspiring documentary this is! What's great about it is that all of Damon's insights into what our future could be are achievable ... the only thing standing in our way is simply our own apathy or old entrenched walls.

So whether you believe in man-made climate change or not the ideas presented in this doco are very much a positive win-win for everyone on this planet.

Ghost Ship (2002)

First watched it back in 2012 and the plot twist f**ked me up. Now for some reason I'm obsessed with it again to the point I had to ditch the t.v. movie version I had on my DVR for the bluray I bought for like $19 on Wal-Mart's online store.

Why u no use Amazon?

I do, just not for that purchase because it was in a bundle with two other movies I didn't want to see again. lol

The Mule (2018)

Definitely rewatchable, up there with Million Dollar Baby.

8/10

The Bleeder (2016)
Told the story of Chuck Wepner, the man who inspired Rocky. Liv Schrieber is amazing (cant spell his surname lol)

Bunraku (2010)
The standard story but told in the most visually stunning way. Loved it, even if it did sag in the middle a bit

Redford. Pretty much 4.499999999 of your 4.5 score. Amazing performance ... who needs dialogue! Loved it too.

Enjoyed this one too. Redford does a great job carrying the movie by himself.

Wasn't bad and a bit nasty, but didn't find it disturbing or great like most seem to do.
Maybe my senses are dulled when it comes to movies.

Everyone talks about the 50 cal massacre at the end, but that bare handed throat rip is just as gnarly.

Loved how this jumped into the story and we got bits and pieces revealed as it went on. Great cast

The Eyes of Laura Mars (1978)
Really enjoyed this. still a classic. even if the ending is somewhat tacked on because the killer wasn't originally meant to be revealed
