Bat Chain Puller

You underestimate the amount of mirco-organisms can fester in the still waters of a lake. Not to mention the alligators, snapping turtles, near sighted gars and pikes, swans (nasty mean f**kers) and human garbage that can't float away in a lake that just sits on the bottom waiting for you to step in it or get your foot tangled in it.

Oceans have sharks. Game off right there.

And you are right delsaber8, Bull Sharks have been known to live in brackish and fresh water lakes. In another million years those bastards will be crawling up out of the water and ringing our doorbells pretending to be girl scouts.

I already fear swimming in oceans

You're not alone. Lakes I can handle, but not oceans. For those reasons you listed. :-[

Also at the ocean I always fear to look under water (with goggles) and see a big ass shark a few meters away or something like that. I think it's not knowing whether there is something near you or off in the distance, just waiting to take a chomp into ya.

Damit stop it now im going to have bad dreams tonite.

Hey, you showed me the spiders, it was only fair for me to discuss the (for the most part) unseen horrors of the earths waters.

Whenever I do, it dulls the pain for an hour and then it comes back like a bitch.
