My uncle died of throat cancer just a few days ago

I lost a friend to it a little over a week ago.

I'm sorry.  It can be hard, if they aren't able to eat.  I really couldn't be around my uncle because he actually kept smoking and smoked 3 packs a day.  He also drank about a pot of coffee a day with lots of sugar.   

It's painful to watch, but you realize you have to let people make their own choices and live how they want.  He was happy, and I guess that's all that mattered so long as he was free to choose for himself.

My guess is it is probably stress. If you have not already, get a big check up as soon as possible. Definatly some meds to get the pressure to go down.
If you haven't already done so that is.
Make sure to keep someone close so if you have another attack, they will be able to get help quicker. Seconds count.
