Never read the book either, but it wasn't the plot of the game I didn't like. I didn't like how it played. It was like it didn't know if it wanted to be a stealth game, a role playing game, or an FPS. It really is a game where you like it or don't. Not to mention it just had to throw in iron sight and having to click the thumbstick down to sprint. Those two features constantly rearing their heads brings my piss to a boil. Idea behind game = good. Game itself = not good.
