Quote from: [cancerblack] on Feb 14, 2023, 12:40:49 AMI like the aggression in it, the vocals are usually unintelligible grunts or screams because, you know, death metal. There's a lot more music I like in the same genres made by people who are less politically extreme but unless you read the lyrics you'd probably never know the difference either way.

Which is to say, you can enjoy art made by or associated with bad people without giving them a cent or any public attention.

You see, I couldn't do that unless it was instrumental only. I mostly read lyrics, especially with growl vocals.

If it wasn't then what is the problem? :)  She wrote books, she earns money out of it by selling right to video developers.

I'm not surprised. There's always a winner. Thanks to people who attack the game. What an irony.

I'm a vocalist so I do too. "These guys are dicks but oof that riff, I'll pirate it instead of supporting the band with a sale or clicks" is my usual reaction.

I'd also like to point out that Blue never told anyone not to buy it, just to be open about the implications if they do. While your argument seems to be that people shouldn't be upset about things that make their lives harder, due to some arbitrary level of abstraction you've set for what does and doesn't count as contributing to that hardship.

My point was that it's just a game and we shouldn't go political about it as woke groups do. Not everything has to be political. World itself is too toxic. People don't know how to let it go sometimes. I'm gonna buy more HP for my niece because she loves stuff like that. I'm gonna do it because it brings her joy, not because I "support" transphobia. Intention is the key.

Do you contemplate buying it as well to upset people?

I don't need to buy a game to upset people. 8)

I only bought it to spite the sheer extremist absolutism to be honest.

My most expensive spite so far... wait no once I was criticized for buying a shirt with only some of the money going towards a crisis so I said "f**k you" and doubled the amount as a direct donation to the Red Cross.

Imagine spending all that money on a game that you weren't even that interested in playing just to spite some people who criticized it in a obscure Internet forum lol

Not the own you think it is

Well to think that if you hadn't insisted on people being ignorant, dishonest and that there's no debate because your word is seemingly supreme than I'd probably still be playing God of War or Modern Warfare 2.

So thanks I guess.

I doubt that people who made it are transphobes. Rowling didn't make that game which you know. She just cashed the cheque from game developer.
