I've been playing Civilization for nearly 20 years, and only just beat a game on Deity difficulty. All hail Ghandigo, majority-elected supreme leader of the planet.

The trick is just to accept that you'll never be the best at anything, never even try to build any wonders, and only start building a proper military if someone settles on your doorstep. Focus on your finances, then just keep buying off the city states over the course of the game - AI factions on Deity gain a myriad of cheats, including lots of free money, but they prefer to spend it buying territory, units and buildings.

Besides the Regenerators, there's no horror aspect in RE4.

People are just buttmad over the whole Raiden thing still.

Exactly. MGS2 has a lot of interesting things to say about gaming and philosophical ideas, but it all gets ignored in favor of "Ohnoes, I have to play as some gay pretty boy instead of manly man Snake, no homo."

The philosophical ideas trip over each other every time a new cinematic starts. The second act is too long, not really all that exciting, and Raiden himself is actually quite boring and uninteresting.

Reminds me of a game I got for my birthday, on Gamecube. It was Goldeneye (not 007 but actually references 007).

The way I remember it I got to a certain point in a level when I was on top of a dam, then I was gased or something, but before I could go completely out the boss, who was a reasonably attractive women, put her vag area right into my face  while I was down and did some twist motion over my face and I started regaining consciousness for the upcoming boss battle against her.

She died, I shot her and she fell over the side of the unstable dam or something.
