None of that prevents mites, and the screens don't keep all of anything out during summer swarming.

This is exactly the problem that we're dealing with right now.  Living on the edge of a forest, there's seems to be nothing we can do to keep the pestiferous insects from invading our houseplants    They somehow find a way around the screens and doors. 

As long as they 'remember their place', the beneficials (spiders, lady bugs, etc.) are allowed to stay
