If I were to write oh, say...a made up version, which is still believable of the yautja history how many people would actually give me the benefit of the doubt and skim the first few paragraphs?
I have started, so I want to write regardless of your feelings, but I do want suggestions, feedback, ideas, feelings, etc. I bet like 90% of you are going to say it's stupid, 9% will say it sounds okay, and 1% won't care
XD
Anywho, I figure I'll have the main character the narrator, and he'll tell the history of his people (yautja) as other yautja perceive it, 'cause no one knows the true origins for sure. I'm not planning on making it retarded like...um...eh....the yautja used to be monkeys, then they settled onto farms, and then began to grow cities, you know?
Also not saying it's true history, just how I think it could be/go/have gone/have been close to.
I can give you a tiny, tiny preview....
Quote
My people have been ravaged by the world's destructive forces, but resilient we are. We have fought one another, and other races alike. And to think that after all we have rebounded from, one would not expect our culture to cause our eminent demise. As we have hunted the galaxy's deadliest, most worthy prey, and galaxies afar as well, we ourselves are our death. I, Kv-ik'paya, will make sure that we do not extinguish our legacy, for this legacy has taken r'vik [equivalent to about two millenniums] upon r'vik to build. This legacy started long before my birth, but will not be lost with my death. Read carefully and learn from our mistakes, cherish our history. The history of the yautja.
Be nice, eh? If you hate it, tell me nicely
Thanks.

{ OH YEAH: Ignore the made up yautja words, they can change. I just made them up as I wrote
}
