I haven't even seen any of them after the second one. I could tell back then it was gonna be sucked for all its worth. This sort of thing has been going on since the 80's slasher films though; Friday the 13th and Halloween probably being the greatest examples.

It's funny how really innovative, original things like A Nightmare On Elm Street, or even the first Saw and FD movie, become tired old whores for their production companies.

At least Nightmare on Elm Street got more creative and epic as time went on. Saw just became more and more incoherent with flashbacks and half prequels.
